Amanda Acevedo
President
With over 25 years of experience Amanda has worked on development projects, served as a technical leader and managed cross program integration efforts. Her experience spans from the Department of Energy/Argonne National Lab where she developed control system software for the ATLAS accelerator, to NASA/Johnson Space Center where she worked Space Shuttle, X38, AERCam and Orion programs, through her experience at smaller engineering firms where she developed software and led projects in the aerospace, energy and medical sectors. Now she leads the Vedo Systems team, meeting the software needs of both small and large organizations across the country.
Mike Rosburg
software Engineer
Mike is a veteran software engineer, developer and designer with over 20 years of experience in creating efficient solutions to difficult problems. Before coming to Vedo Systems, Mike developed and tested embedded flight software for a Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) space vehicle project. Mike also teamed with Draper Laboratory to develop the Condition Monitoring and Action Sequences (CMAS) tool to create FDIR and RPOC scripts for Draper’s Timeliner application in support of Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser vehicle. Mike is an aerospace engineer by trade, receiving his degree from Iowa State University. He started his career at Armstrong Flight Research (Dryden) as a flight test engineer before coming to NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC) to work on the Space Station Training Facility simulation for Hughes Aircraft. He has also worked as a developer, coding and testing Ascent Abort Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) software for the Space Shuttle’s Cockpit Avionics Upgrade (CAU) program and the Orion Program's 6 GNC simulation tool, ANTARES. Mike designed the video routing software solution on NASA’s Training System for the 21st Century (TS-21) which provides simulation-based training for crew and flight controllers. Now at Vedo Systems, Mike writes flight software applications using NASA’s core Flight System (cFS) for NASA's Lunar Gateway.
Mark Gibb
software Engineer
Mark has led a varied career before joining Vedo Systems. As a civil servant at NASA for 9 years, Mark worked on Space Shuttle vehicle and payload processing at Kennedy Space Center. Then at Johnson Space Center he developed flight dynamics planning software for mission operations. After joining the private sector, Mark worked for companies large and small. He has developed software process, workflow, and content management software. Mark’s experience also extends to work on a software project for the Army and on the flight software of Boeing's CST-100 space capsule. Additionally, he has developed demographic analysis and internet advertising software. Now at Vedo Systems, Mark brings his varied experience to bear on producing and improving software and tools covering a wide range of industries. Mark has an Aerospace Engineering degree from Iowa State University.
Katy DePena
Software Engineer
Katy is a software engineer who develops automated test systems to support product development and enhance existing software. Her background ranges from the configuration, testing and delivery of electronic data interfaces for a major health care cloud-based HR software to her current position testing the guidance, navigation and control software for Lockheed Martin’s Orion Program. She brings to Vedo Systems a keen ability to establish new and improve existing tools and standards to optimize performance and processes. Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Iowa and is a candidate for her Master’s degree in software engineering from DePaul University.

Software EngineeR
Alex Stevens is a software engineer with a degree in Computer Science with 6 years of experience working across many disciplines. Alex started his career as a part-time contractor working directly with international customers developing fully interactive advertisement systems, going from concept to production in a matter of weeks. Some of these projects spanning from automated electronic controls to computer vision, while simultaneously working as a full-time, embedded, middleware engineer, designing and developing high performance middleware for restaurant automation systems at 2DFire. After moving back to the US, Alex continued to use his skills at AMX by Harman designing and developing automation systems for meetings spaces, including the Modero X and Acendo Vibe, working on designing and debugging hardware, proprietary language design, embedded RTOS design, and communicating with international partners for production. Next, Alex joined Lockheed Martin to work on the Orion Program developing and verifying human rated flight software as well as managing and automating build processes, saving thousands of engineering hours across the team. Alex then moved into the automation and robotics industry at HMI where he developed tracking systems to prevent life threatening accidents in industrial environments. Alex brings his cross-discipline skills to Vedo Systems, where he is developing firmware to provide radio-based, automated inventory control on-board the International Space Station (ISS) as a part of NASA’s RFID-Enabled Autonomous Logistics Management (REALM) project.
